We are so excited to get things rolling for the Edgemont South Stake girls camp 2019! In an attempt to have fewer meetings for all of you wonderful, busy ladies, I am learning new skills and will keep this blog updated with information and resources that will hopefully help you as you plan for camp.
Things are going to be different this year. (Of course!😁) We have a new camp manual, new age groups, and who knows what will be next! We know that these changes have come through our Church leaders from our Savior, Jesus Christ. We are going to embrace them and know that they will lead to an amazing camp experience for all of us. A key part of these changes is that the YCL's will be planning camp. We are here to help them, guide them and support them. But they are instructed to and fully capable of receiving revelation to plan according to our Father's will. Please use them in planning for ward activities as well. With the age change, YCL's will now be defined as all Laurels who are not graduating from high school this year. That adds just a handful of girls to our numbers.
Please note the important dates listed on the left side of this blog, as well as the links to important resources on the right. These will answer a lot of questions. You are always welcome to ask the Stake YW Presidency and Camp directors as well.
Unfortunately, we will not have a defined schedule for another month or so. Heber Valley is making some changes to their website, and we are unable to schedule the confidence course and waterfront until the end of February, first part of March. Thank you for your patience!
